Patterns for the Lace Coathangers

I've had some requests for the instructions on how to make the coathangers. Here they are:

Equipment Needed

5m eyelet lace
1 ball 8 ply yarn
5mm knitting needles
needle
scissors
padded coathanger
pillow stuffing

Instructions

Cast on 65 stitches
Knit 4 rows
Knit 1 row with the lace
Knit 3 rows
Knit 1 row with the lace
Repeat steps 4 and 5 until 5 rows of lace have been worked
Knit 4 rows
Cast off

In between making the quilts, Anne does other smaller projects. Back home, she used to make padded coathangers, and she occasionally makes some here. She has to get the lace from Australia, as they don't seem to have it available here. She makes a knitted wool and lace padding for wooden coathangers. This pads them out so they support delicate dresses and tops without marking them. As well, they look very pretty. She occasionally gives them away as gifts, and sometimes sells them.

Here's a sample of the coathangers. She makes them in a variety of colours, with little bows.
